Performance Inspection Before the Gear Motor Is Put into Use

Geared motors are important driving components in mechanical equipment, and their performance and quality directly affect the operation of the entire equipment. Before the geared motor is put into use, it is essential to perform a performance test. Considering the actual working conditions of the geared motor, the quality inspection before use must include the following items:

1. Short-term overload

The single use time of the geared motor generally does not exceed 120 seconds. At the same time, due to the limitation of the parking space, the overload will not be too serious, so it only needs to run for 3 minutes under 1.2 times the rated load, and run for 1 minute under 1.5 times the rated load without abnormality phenomenon.

2. Protection level

Parking equipment is usually built outdoors. Although the geared motor itself is equipped with a cover for protection, it still needs to be dustproof and waterproof. Therefore, the material and processing technology of the casing should ensure that its protection level is not lower than IP44. That is, it can prevent wires or strips with a diameter or thickness greater than 1 mm from touching or approaching live or rotating parts in the shell, and can prevent solid foreign objects with a diameter greater than 1 mm from entering the shell, and can withstand splashing water from any direction without impact.

3. Radial force

The middle part of the output shaft of the deceleration motor will bear the pulling force of the trolley 1.4kgf in the actual working condition, and then multiply it by the safety factor of 2.5 (the short-term pulling force is greater than 1.4kgf when the equipment is started), that is, the geared motor must bear the radial pulling force of 3.5kgf. The output shaft has no harmful deformation.

4. Brake load

During the use of the parking equipment, the user suddenly loses power when accessing the car, which brings inconvenience to the user. Therefore, the brake must be released manually with a simple tool. Under 1.5 times the rated load, the brake does not slip, and the braking torque is greater than 2.2kgf m.

5. Alternating hot and humid

The test simulates the worst condition of the environment in which the geared motor is used, the relative humidity of the air is not lower than 90%, and the ambient temperature is not lower than 25°C. After the motor is subjected to 40°C and 6 cycles of alternating damp heat test, the insulation resistance measurement is not less than 0.38M Q, and there is no breakdown and no flicker in the 760V withstand voltage test.

The geared motor needs to be inspected in the following aspects during the assembly process:

(1) Air tightness inspection
For geared motors, oil leakage often occurs during actual operation due to poor airtightness of the gearbox, so airtight inspection (oil leakage) is very necessary. The specific method is: during the assembly process of the reducer, before the refueling process, this test is carried out, and the reducer is pressurized to 0.15MPa through the press. Under this condition, it is required to be airtight for 20s, that is, the pressure remains unchanged. The main testing instrument is a precision pressure gauge. The control requirement is to have this inspection process in the assembly process of the reducer, and make an inspection record for each motor.

(2) Torsional vibration test
The torsional vibration value is an important parameter to measure the quality of the geared motor. Considering the actual working conditions, adding a force of 1 5kN (vehicle weight) to the motor requires the vibration speed of the geared motor to be less than 2.8mm/s in this case, and there is no abnormal vibration. The main detection instruments are torsional vibration meter and torsional vibration sensor. In order to make the detection process simple, a detection tool needs to be designed independently. The control requirements are the same as the airtight inspection, which is a routine inspection and must be inspected for each unit.
